Woodbine

When asking residents of Woodbine and Woodlands what they like most about where they live, they will answer with the proximity to schools and parks along with easy access on the new Ring Road. Woodbine borders onto Fish Creek Provincial Park which is known for its scenic pathways and is a nature enthusiasts dream.  Children often frequent the park for school field trips and the park bustles with activity on the weekends with families getting together for a bike ride or a picnic.  The community also borders onto the Tsuut'ina reserve and Anderson Road.  Woodbine shares a Community Association with neighboring Woodlands and they offer endless opportunities to get out and enjoy all that the community has to offer including 2 outdoor rinks, 3 proposed cross country ski locations, pickleball along with various music, art, and fitness programs in the center.  They also aim to get residents out for their various events throughout the year including spaghetti nights, pub nights and a community clean up. 

Although the LRT station is not directly in Woodbine, residents can take Bus #56 to the Anderson LRT Station and  the new BRT can get residents downtown quickly,.

With the completion of the SW Ring Road, Woobine residents can easily access the new Costco in theTaza Development. Woodbine residents can access the Ring Road via 90th Avenue or Southland Drive. Calgary Transit - bus Times, bus Routes and Updates (moovitapp.com) 

Parents and children will value the proximity to primary schools and childcare. Woodbine's designated Elementary School is Woodbine School which is located on  Woodfield Way.  John Ware is the designated Junior High School located in Palliser and High School students attend Henry Wise Wood in Kelvin Grove. Woodbine has plenty of amenities, there is a strip mall on the corner of 24th street and Woodview Drive that offers groceries, dining, a Shoppers Drug Mart and more. The new Taza Development on the Tsuut'ina Reserve is home to a new Costco and construction has commenced for various other shops and services. Once the project is complete, Woodbine will have easy access to a variety of amenities thus making it an even more desirable place to call home.

There are approximately 9105 people living in Woodbine with about 92% of the population own their home while the remainder are renters. Roughly 87% of the dwellings are detached single family homes, while 3% are attached and the remaining 10% are row houses.
